Perhaps as a result of 36 years working in the vastly complex field of environmental chemistry, where no two projects were ever the same, John’s photographic interests are wide and varied.

He prefers the term “Fine Art Photographer” but jokingly adds that he “reserves the right to point his camera at anything that grabs his attention”

One day he can be shooting landscapes, while the next it’s the urban environment, a commissioned shoot, or he’s off exploring some long forgotten location for one of his many projects.

Working across such a wide range of subjects can be challenging but he finds it keeps things interesting.

The only constants in his photography are the strive for ever improving quality and a desire to produce eye catching thought provoking images.

In addition to his commissioned work, John prefers to create images based around specific themes. These themes often develop into Exhibitions and ultimately photobooks. Check out the “Projects” tab above to see a few of his on-going projects.
